TENANTS St Pauls Learning Centre is managed by Ethical Property Company . As a company, we believe that property should be used in the best interests of society, the planet and the economy. Our tenants range from inspirational campaigners and independent businesses, to charitable organisations, not-for-profits and social enterprises; who are all committed to making a positive impact. Here at SPLC, we proudly host the following projects: MISFITS Theatre Company The Misfits Theatre Company UK is a unique Bristol based theatre and social group, led by people with learning disabilities (PWLD). They provide artistic and life skills development, emphasising independence, healthy living, self-advocacy and creative practice through participation, performance, volunteering and paid employment. More info Havoyoco / Qaalib Havoyoco’s objectives are to serve the needs of the ethnic minority youth and work with the public and private sector service providers in order to eliminate barriers to services. Established in 2008, the services they provide aim to improve the standard of attainment in education to children and young adults. They provide information on local services and amenities, promote active involvement and community integration. More info WECIL WECIL is an award winning, user led organisation supporting Disabled people to live the life they choose. Our approach is fully person centred. Our staff have lived experience and this informs the support we offer. More info AKT AKT supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. They help young people into safe homes and employment, education or training, in a welcoming and open environment that celebrates lgbtq+ identities. More info St Paul's Library St Pauls Library is a small satellite library run by Bristol City Council providing all the usual library services and activities, including computers available for public use. More info Real Photography Company We aim to revive and refresh traditional and alternative photography, and ensure affordable and accessible high quality Darkroom facilities are available 7 days a week for photographers in Bristol and beyond, with a low cost Membership scheme. More info Glen's Kitchen Glen has been serving authentic Caribbean food in Bristol for 30 years and runs the cafe here at the Learning Centre, available to eat in and as takeaway. Glen can also cater for meetings, events and parties. They aim to support learners with their transition into either employment or enterprise. By promoting self-employment as a feasible work option, they also create successful local businesses in Bristol. More info DHI DHI supports those excluded from society as a result of poverty, deprivation, abuse or neglect, to turn their lives around and thrive. We support people to overcome barriers to independence such as substance misuse, homelessness or lack of employable skills, as well as to develop social capital and emotional resilience to achieve their potential. More info The Marmalade Trust Marmalade Trust is the UK’s leading loneliness charity for all ages. We are dedicated to raising awareness and reducing the stigma of loneliness. We do this through projects in the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area including Christmas Cheer events and Marmalade Companions - a phone-based scheme which signposts people to new social connections in their local communities. We also raise awareness of loneliness both nationally and internationally through our annual Loneliness Awareness Week campaign. More info Trauma Foundation South West Trauma Foundation South West provides free counselling and psychotherapy to asylum seekers and refugees who are suffering with symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder following their experiences of war, persecution, traumatic journeys and a difficult time arriving in this country. Foldable tables allow for a more versatile use & different set-ups.
