About the event

-Please note this event is fully booked -

Our workshop teaches people how to design and make their own clothing using unused, recycled, and repurposed fabrics. Participants learn practical sewing and upcycling skills while transforming discarded textiles into unique, wearable garments they can wear and enjoy.

We provide sewing machines, fabrics, and all the necessary teaching equipment, making the workshop accessible to beginners and those with previous sewing experience.

The workshop is led by a Sociology graduate and current MSc Sustainability and Environmental Management student, combining practical skills with an understanding of the social and environmental impacts of the fashion industry. Previously delivered at UWE, the workshop promotes sustainable fashion, encourages creativity, reduces textile waste, and helps combat the environmental impact of fast fashion.
