Human Rights Are Our Rights: (Re)Claiming Your Rights!

What is this workshop about?

Our economic, social and cultural rights include things like a decent job and home, enough to eat, clothes to wear, a healthy environment, and the chance to learn.

But we know that right now, across the South West, far too many people are experiencing violations of these rights. From people living in damp housing that makes them ill (right to adequate standard of living), to those sitting on long waiting lists for healthcare while they get sicker (right to health), to poor and unlawful working conditions and wages that don’t allow a decent standard of living (right to work, and just and favourable conditions at work).

This workshop will be an introduction to the importance of our human rights and why it is important that we claim them when we can to seek justice!
