About the event
Join the Easton Cowfolks for their second instalment of Radical Film Club!
We will be showcasing some short films from Sudan followed by a panel led discussion. This will focus on the role imperialism plays in Sudan today, attempting to better understand the current situation and its connection to other genocides taking place, as well as how we can organise in solidarity with the Sudanese liberation.
This is part of a wider series of screenings where we hope to watch, discuss and learn about how imperialism is shaping global politics and the fierce resistance it is being met with from Sudan to Palestine to Congo.
We will be screening the following films:
“Tigers Are Better Looking” (1979, Hussein Shariffe)
“Gidam, Drums of Protest in Khartoum” (2022, Bastien Massacre, Arthur Larie)
