About the role

We are looking for a seasonal grower to join our team developing a new market garden site as part of the re-opening of Hartcliffe City Farm. This is an opportunity to be part of a new and exciting market garden project, which will grow mixed vegetables for a veg box scheme and cafés across two city farms.

This is a 6-month seasonal role from April – November. The Seasonal Grower will be based mainly at Hartcliffe City Farm Market Garden, although some of their work may be at Windmill Hill City Farm. They will support and work with the Market Gardens Manager to prepare the site for growing and to grow food for the first season. The role will involve some lone working, working with volunteers, and working with a small staff team.

We are looking for a candidate with some commercial market garden scale growing experience, who wants to expand their growing experience this season and be part of setting up a new market garden which seeks to improve access to good food for the local community.
