We are looking for a passionate Engagement Worker with a proven track record of delivering high quality information, advice and guidance and supporting young people into education, employment and training.
Creative Youth Network is a successful charity that supports young people to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives by building secure and positive relationships with them based on their individual unique needs. We offer young people safe spaces to express themselves with creative courses, youth clubs and practical advice and support. We take pride in our relaxed working culture and environment. We’ve opted in to the Bristol City Council Equality Charter and are dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within the organisation.
The role will involve a significant amount of 1:1 work – this will include helping young people to create Individual Action Plans, identifying barriers to accessing education, employment and training and supporting young people to remain in a positive destination. There will be a requirement to work closely with other organisations and specialist providers to provide young people with full, holistic support.
The successful candidate will be delivering the aims and objectives of the exciting West of England Works project.
West of England Works is a large-scale project involving a number of different organisations and delivery partners. The programme is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund.
The hope is that the project will support at least 1537 young people and adults (participants) into gaining employment through a community-based support programme.
In return we can offer 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays, pro rata for part time) per year, generous pension scheme, a cycle to work scheme, opportunities for flexible working, paid breaks and fantastic development opportunities.
We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to ensuring that underrepresented communities are represented in our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from the BAME community.
